About Us

Salepoint have traded in West London since 1981, specialising in modular shelving in steel and pine, from our substantial stocks for both bespoke and more straightforward solutions. Salepoint have worked closely with the Horticultural Trades Association, with over 1,100 garden centre members, since 1994 and with the British Hardware Federation since 2001 (now BIRA – the British Independent Retailers Association with over 8,000 members).

Transport
Most orders are despatched for delivery within 2 to 3 days from placing the order. For timed deliveries or Saturday deliveries please contact Salepoint on 020 8577 3080. Most of what we sell is in stock in our own freehold warehouse in West London, not like some sites, based in someone's bedroom with 'drop shipping' (i.e. the order goes to someone else to fulfil), although with such a large range on the site inevitably some of our products come from other warehouses. This can mean two, or more, separately calculated delivery costs for goods coming from different locations. However the Salepoint web site has pricing which does not have some built in transport costs – our transport costs are calculated separately, based on your postcode, so larger orders represent good value. The supplier name is shown next to the product description and for many items this is 'Salepoint Stock' with good value all coming on one delivery.

You can enter your postcode for delivery calculations on the top right side of the screen at the shopping basket stage. The actual postcode used for delivery on an order is that from your registered address from login. The delivery address here can be altered. This system does not work or work accurately for the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands and Northern Island in which case you should contact Salepoint on 020 8577 3080.

Volume Discounts
Further, we have volume discounts which increase with larger orders, calculated per category, and starting at order values of over £250. This can mean effectively 'free delivery' for a typical order of about £1,500 to most of the country (population-wise). The more you order the cheaper it gets (up to a maximum of 9%). These discounts are calculated automatically and displayed next to the pricing.

Modular steel shopfittings
The Salepoint site is unique in letting you design the shopfittings for a complete shop to your own specification. The height, the backings (plain or pegmetal), the number and depth of shelves can all be specified and then a run of shelving with different widths can be specified, even including a corner bay. With some web sites if you order 5 bays of wall shelving you will get 10 uprights, when you actually only need 6 as the units join together. Get your requirements exactly right with Salepoint.
